Odoo ERP Implementation Developer (Contract)

About the role

Gigmote is seeking an experienced Odoo ERP Implementation Developer to support a client project focused on implementing Odoo's Accounting platform. This is a contract opportunity for a professional who understands both the technical and functional aspects of ERP implementations. You'll work directly with stakeholders to configure Odoo, migrate financial data, customize workflows, and ensure the accounting solution meets business requirements. The ideal candidate has successfully delivered multiple Odoo implementations and is comfortable working independently while collaborating with business users. This is an opportunity to play a key role in building an efficient finance operation using one of the world's leading open-source ERP platforms.

What you'll do

• Lead the implementation of Odoo Accounting modules.
• Configure Odoo based on business and accounting requirements.
• Customize workflows, reports, and financial processes.
• Migrate accounting and financial data into Odoo.
• Integrate Odoo with third-party applications when required.
• Conduct system testing and resolve implementation issues.
• Train end users on Odoo Accounting functionality.
• Create technical and user documentation.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements.
• Provide post-go-live support and optimization recommendations.

What you'll bring

• 3+ years of experience implementing Odoo ERP solutions.
• Proven experience with Odoo Accounting.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial workflows.
• Experience configuring and customizing Odoo modules.
• Proficiency in Python and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Odoo Studio and custom module development.
• Ability to troubleshoot ERP implementation issues.
• Experience with data migration and system integration.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage project deliverables.

Nice to have

• Odoo Certification.
• Experience implementing Manufacturing, Inventory, or CRM modules.
• Knowledge of payroll and HR modules.
• Experience with multi-company or multi-currency implementations.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and third-party integrations.
